A leading premium restaurant chain with more than 20 outlets across India needed a reliable water treatment solution for its kitchen operations, food preparation and equipment.

Its existing rented reverse osmosis systems were experiencing frequent breakdowns, resulting in unplanned downtime and a high dependence on external service providers.

DhwaNeer developed and validated an application-specific water treatment solution at one of the chain’s most challenging outlets. After delivering zero RO breakdowns during the first year, the pilot became the benchmark for installations across the customer’s network.

Key outcomes

  • Zero RO breakdowns during the first year of operation
  • Reliable water availability for uninterrupted kitchen operations
  • Reduced need for unplanned maintenance
  • Heavy-duty performance suited to continuous commercial use
  • More predictable servicing through preventive maintenance
  • Rollout now running at roughly two new outlets per month

Project overview

Consistent water quality is essential in restaurant operations. It supports food preparation, kitchen hygiene and the reliable performance of water-dependent equipment.

The customer needed a dependable long-term solution that could first be proven at one location and then scaled across its growing network.

The challenge

The customer’s rented RO systems were unable to provide the operational reliability required across its outlets. The principal challenges included:

  • Frequent RO breakdowns that disrupted daily kitchen operations
  • Unplanned maintenance and equipment downtime
  • High dependence on third-party service providers for repairs
  • Reduced reliability during peak business hours
  • No standardised water treatment approach across locations
  • Temporary repairs that did not address the underlying operational requirements

Our engineering approach

At DhwaNeer, we understand that no single water treatment configuration is suitable for every application.

Instead of immediately recommending a network-wide equipment replacement, our engineering team began with a detailed survey of one of the customer’s most problematic outlets. The assessment covered:

  • Raw-water quality
  • Daily and peak water demand
  • Site operating conditions
  • Kitchen requirements
  • Water-dependent equipment requirements
  • Maintenance and service expectations

The findings allowed our team to design a solution around the outlet’s actual operating environment rather than supplying a standard off-the-shelf system.

The solution

DhwaNeer implemented a pilot water treatment system comprising:

  • 250 LPH ClairHydra reverse osmosis system
  • Water softener
  • ClairHydra booster pump
  • Complete installation and commissioning
  • Scheduled preventive maintenance support

The pilot was designed to validate performance, reliability and service requirements before the solution was introduced at additional outlets.

Results delivered

The pilot installation achieved:

  • Zero RO breakdowns during the first year of operation
  • Reliable water availability for uninterrupted kitchen operations
  • Reduced need for unplanned maintenance
  • Heavy-duty performance suited to continuous commercial use
  • More predictable servicing through preventive maintenance
  • Greater customer confidence in the reliability of the system

Business impact

The performance of the pilot created a proven water treatment benchmark for future projects.

Following its success, the customer began replacing rented RO systems with DhwaNeer solutions across its outlets. DhwaNeer now supports approximately two new outlet installations per month as part of the customer’s ongoing expansion and equipment replacement programme.

What began as a single-site pilot has developed into a long-term engineering partnership built on measurable performance and consistent service.

Why this project stands out

This project was not simply an equipment replacement exercise. Its success came from understanding the application, validating the proposed solution under real operating conditions and scaling only after the system had demonstrated reliable performance.

The project shows how application-specific engineering, robust commercial equipment and preventive maintenance can reduce operational risk and build long-term customer confidence.

At DhwaNeer, we do not believe that one solution fits every application. We assess each site’s requirements, engineer the right water treatment solution and allow proven performance to drive long-term partnerships.
